About the author (2004)

J. Gresham Machen (18811937) was professor of New Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He was also the author of Christian Faith in the Modern World, What Is Faith? and The Origin of Pauls Religion.

D. G. Hart is academic director of academic projects and faculty development at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute in Wilmington, Delaware. He is the author or editor of over a dozen books, including Recovering Mother Kirk and The Legacy of Jonathan Edwards.
