Performance Psychology: A Practitioner's Guide is a comprehensive, evidence-based text covering the key aspects of performance culture: performer development, preparation, training and execution. Written by a team of international contributors, including national coaches, training specialists, applied sports psychologists, clinicians and researchers, and building on strong links between theory and practice, the book shows how applied psychological methods and principles can be used to enhance performance

Contributing authors offer clear implications for applied practice and each section is summarized by contributions from a 'Performers Panel' of experts who provide real-life practical examples. Performance psychology is applied to a wide variety of physical performance domains which enables practitioners to see how they can combine ideas and tailor interventions, to people and contexts, to produce effective applications of psychology.

Getting this book was the best decision I have ever made. Buying this book help me mend my life back together. After I had accidentally left the kids at the Chucky Cheese's ball pit my wife divorced me. I broke the door to the closed, abandoned, cold pizzeria. I unravel from my Naruto Run form and start to enter with caution. I start shivering as I close the door behind me. It was so dark I couldn't see anything. And that's when I felt it. It went from my thigh up. It shook my entire body with the smallest of vibrations. It shook me violently wanting me to pull it out and set it free. I reached in my pocket and took out my phone. Then at that instant I heard my children crying. But it was too late. The screen lit up the room as I stared at the notification. This book had me rushing back to my wife. I had, at that second, spent my kids college tuition on two copies of this ebook. I showed my wife and she hugged my tired, now warm, lush yet stiff body. We got married again and just read the book together. We raised them , fed them, took them to school. I payed for their college and online courses. They both are now fluent in 7 different languages and are still growing. They are taking care of us now while we grow old. This book to this day is my most prized possession. I brought them to this world and now they take care of me.
