About the author (2014)

Yavuz Güçtürk is a research assistant in Law & Human Rights at SETA Foundation. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history from Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara. He is pursuing his doctoral studies in Political Science at Ankara University. Before joining SETA, he worked as a reporter and expert on human rights at several NGOs in Turkey.
