Abridged and modernized

Watch out. This is not what I was expecting. This is not the original book that is well written in beautifully outdated language. Rather it is very abridged and modernized.Still it has beautifully done copies of the illustrations and language that a youngster can read and make sense of. Read full review

I have always liked the Robin Hood tails, and there are alot of veriations. This bood was a bit hard to get started in mostly because of the old English writing style. Once used to it it reads nicely and adds a certain authentic feel to it.
The story does add a lot of background as to how Robin came to be living as an outlaw in the woods, and there is a lot of details most storied leave out.
Overall I would recommend it to anyone loving the legend of Robin Hood.
