About the author (1995)

Dorothea Hall is an internationally-known author of books and magazine articles on crafts and interior design. She has taught and lectured on arts and crafts, and also lectures on her wallpaper and textile design work. Her Storey books include Cross Stitch and Inspiration in Cross Stitch, and more of her best-sellers are titled The Cross Stitch and Sampler Book, Cross Stitch for the Home, and Quick and Easy Cross Stitch. Dorothea is a frequent traveller and collector of ethnic textiles and artifacts. She lives in Great Britain.
