Residues of organic arsenic on p. 526
An honest look at the uses of estrogen in womens health in the early years (the book was published in 1978) with good suggestions for alternatives to the pill and HRT, and a study of the nutritional effects of both menopause and pill use. I was surprised to learn that we already have effective male birth control (but men don't like the side effects -- funny, neither do most women), but sadly not surprised by the paternalistic attitude of medicine to women. A great read for all women taking or thinking about taking hormones, though it would be nice to see an updated edition for the lower dose hormones in use today.
