About the author (2009)

Michael McDowell died in 1999. He was the author of a number of popular horror novels, including the six volumes of the Blackwater series.

Nathan Brown is a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps, a martial arts expert, a manga devotee, and, currently, an English major and humanities minor in his junior year at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.
