I read the introduction and felt it was recopied from much older material, based on the dates given for the First Peoples in the New World. It is far older archaeologically than the writer indicates . There is a hunting and gathering site in Chile that is 14,000 years old. Guitarrero Cave in Peru, indicates there were domesticated or at the very least managed plants very early in South American history. There are a number of paleoindian sites from around 13,000 years ago. The earliest pyramid so far, found in Peru is around 4600 Years ago (Norte Chico).
If you enjoy the book otherwise, just ignore the introduction.
