More good historical fiction. If you love reading, historical fiction and a great heart tugging story give it a go.

This was a fantastic read. I loved the use of atypical similes, metaphors, and personifications to bring the book to life. The narration by death really worked as well.

This book was wonderful, And unforgetable. It shows the strength of a little girl having to deal with moving to a new place and loosing her brother. The story will forever be put in my mind. And should be put on a level of greatness like the diary of ann frank

When I first picked up this book I thought: "I'm not going to like this." But I read it anyway, straying from my normal path of the paranormal. Regardless of the fact this is narrated by death. But anyway, that was my initial impression but as I began reading it and getting hugely involved in everything it became everything it should be: heart breaking, funny, exciting and last but not least devastatingly beautiful. I loved the way it was written, I loved the language and how it was different from any other book I have ever read in so many different ways. This book has life, amidst so much death. Brilliant.

This was a very interesting book to read on a road trip; it kept me entertained. The narrator was obviously death because it was taking souls and all of that stuff the author chose to bring up. But, at times when switching points of view it was a bit confusing, I think in my personal opinion, was because of the wording.

I could realisticlly call this book one of the best books I have ever read. The writing is fenominal and Marcus Zusak did a great job of having death narrate the story. I could not put this book down.

Amazing book!!! It demonstrates an extremely interesting perspective of World War II and the Holocaust. Makes me want to read more novels by Markus Zusak. It made me keep on guessing until the end of the story and kept me thinking about it even after I finished reading it. Zusak must've worked hard day and night for years to present this book with Death as its narrator, and I'm sure he has pioneered many books to come with non-human narrators. Best of all-this book is a great read wether you are a child, pre-teen, teen, or adult!!!
PS: I loved to see more books by Zusak with non-human narrators!
