About the author (2010)

Dr. Robert George Sprackland has studied herpetology and paleontology at the University of Kansas, San Josť State University, and University College London. He is a world-recognized authority on monitor lizards, having spent over 35 years studying these lizards. Some of his fieldwork was featured on the television show O_Shea_s Big Adventure, and he has served as a zoological consultant to BBC and the Discovery Channel. He is the author of Giant Lizards and lives with his wife in Seattle, WA.
