Allow me to confess, I did not read the whole book but searched only an important information on the place known as "Pomreng" where Thomas Jones "The Father of the Khasi Alphabet" stayed for the last time in the Khasi hills. The name Pomreng is recorded as "Pomrang" and it offers a clue to researchers for other names in the Khasi Hills as recorded by Joseph Dalton Hooker. The book will be useful to the students of botany, environmental science and definitely it will offer them a great deal of knowledge on the plants, animals and things found in nature which have been found then and have disappeared now.
