Front Cover
Trafford Publishing, Jun 12, 2012 - Family & Relationships - 180 pages
Tracie has been writing all of her lifepoems, short stories, and inspirational verse. Although blessed with this gift, she felt something was missing. Should there be more? Somewhere around 1992 she had an eye opening chit-chat in the ladies room at church with a friend. She discovered her friend had overcome some pretty big stumbling blocks in her own life and now had an amazing grace filled testimony! Tracie admired her friends courage and grit and wished that she too had her own dramatic story; one that would inspire others. You know that old saying, Be careful what you ask for? Well, ask and you shall receive! Tracie got more drama than she had bargained for when she fell for a man who proceeded to turn her life upside down and inside out. She endured years of degradation, humiliation, and manipulation. She had been verbally accosted, emotionally drained, and mentally abused, but no more! She found her strength and remembered her gift. Changing her mind hadnt changed her purpose, so after regaining her life, she put it into words.

About the author (2012)

Tracie is an only child from Macon, GA and has lived there all of her life. Other than being a big fan of home decor, writing, napping, enjoying music, movies, and gaming, there’s nothing spectacular to say. Tracie went to high school and college in Macon. She’s smart, funny, intelligent, doesn’t typically use spellcheck, and has recently discovered the joys of texting. Her favorite color is pink and sometimes she wishes she was a race car driver. Her parents David and Polly mean the world to her and she loves her life and everyone in it. Life is good. Her philosophy: When Life Hands You Lemons, Write a Book! This is her first. While in college, Tracie noticed some humorous bumper stickers for sale in the school bookstore. One of them said “I is a College Student.” Non-conformity can be quite liberating. You used to hear her occasionally say “I is a writer.” Now she can say “I is an author.” How fitting!
