About the author (1999)

Ron Rathbun began his formal study of meditation in 1978 at a spiritual church in Encinitas, California. In 1990, he was ordained as a minister, and in 1992 went on sabbatical to study in seclusion and write The Way is Within. He and his wife Lavana are founders of the Quiescence Meditation Center in Carlsbad, California, where he continues to teach and lecture.
