a very nice and entertaining book for students who wanna learn CCNA. Thanks Todd !!! for this wonderful book.
This book provides a basic resource for gaining understanding of the concepts needed to pass the CCNA Routing & Switching Composite Exam (640-802). There are some minor mistakes in the book and I found that the author assumes you think as he thinks rather than explaining why he understands a concept a certain way. This edition lacks a glossary. Well, let me clarify, it is provided as a digital copy on the disc. I found this to be an annoyance as I often like to study on the go and a PC is not always accessible. And the CD no longer offers an eBook. So, in order to use this resource fully, you have to carry the book and a digital device.
It is not all bad, however. The author offers a great conversational style to his writing that will keep you turning the page. No boring technical rhetoric here. There are also hands-on and written labs that truly test your knowledge on the material presented. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to sit for the 640-802 exam, but be sure you have a basic knowledge of IT (equivalent to a CompTIA A+) first. Also, understand this should not be used as a sole study tool. You will want to invest in a lab simulator (if you don't have access to a live lab) and additional practice test questions. Otherwise it is a great and inexpensive study resource.
