This is a good book to show kids that don't have the same kind of family as everyone else doesn't mean they act any different. This book shows that being different isn't really being that different after all. this family loves each other just like everyone else's families do. Read full review

About the author (2009)

LESLEA NEWMAN is the author of over fifty books, including Heather Has Two Mommies, the first children's book to portray lesbian families in a positive way. She lives in Northampton, Massachusetts.

CAROL THOMPSON has illustrated more than forty-five books for children, and is the recipient of the Mother Goose Award for Children's Book Illustration. She lives in Ashby de la Zouch, England.
