Nobody does police station novels like Joseph Wambaugh. And Harbor Nocturne is one of Wambaugh's better novels. The regular cast of misfits is here, as is the blend of gallows humor, frustration and occasional moments of adrenaline and terror. Well worth the read. Read full review
