Generally speaking, if you skipped every book with the word "weird" in the title, you wouldn't be missing much. This is an exception. Michael Shermer teaches the history of science at Occidental ... Read full review

There were flashes of okayness, but mostly I was pretty annoyed by this book. Shermer's a lot less condescending than a lot of skeptics, but he still has that attitude of "if I've explained it to you and you still don't agree with me, you're stupid." Read full review

A book that shouldn't be necessary but which is. I fear the tidal wave of growing "weird" ideas and convictions. I hope that we are not entering the Age of Unreason. Read full review

Terrible! This book just demonstrates all the weird things Shermer believes. This book harps on traditional zionist issues: raving about the Holocaust (get over it), raving about genocidal Israel, screaming about Christians, fulminating about religion. This book is getting returned and I'm getting my money back, yep I'm sure Shermer felt that. Within five minutes of reading the book I could already see Mr. Shermer was a bias, apologist for a corrupt, murderous regime in Israel. This "book" has no literary value or academic value. VIVA PALESTINE!!!! JESUS IS LORD!!!
