About the author (2001)

Gina Crocetti received her Master's in Communication from Portland State University in 1993. This background prepared her for her cross-cultural look at the United Arab Emirates in Culture Shock!: United Arab Emirates. In this work, she introduces the traveler to the Emiratis' culture and way of life, thus allowing the reader to avoid social missteps. In addition, Crocetti also guides the reader to the best tourist spots and those that are normally missed by travelers.
