Barnargilya and Jabiru

Front Cover
Papulu Apparr-Kari Aboriginal Corporation - Wambaya language - 26 pages
Barnargilya and Jabiru is the aboriginal dreamtime story of how an old man and his sons confront the Jabiru spirit being. It is a story from the days of the dreamtime before the animals took their current forms, and magic was alive. It is a traditional Wambaya story from the Barkly Tablelands area of the Northern Territory, Australia, north-east of Tennant Creek. The Wambaya language is an endangered indigenous language as we have only a handful of fluent speakers left. The book is accompanied by a computer cd with audio pdf and animation files.
