On a hot day, Zeke, Ky and their parents make a trip to the beach. Zeke and Ky busy themselves making sandcastles and make friends with a little girl. But Zeke and their new friend disagree about where a lightning rod should go on one of the buildings. When Zeke questions his Mum about it, she explains the theory that if you take an imaginary walk in another person's shoes, you might understand them better. Zeke takes his Mum literally and tests out the theory in the garden.

Gwynneth Beasley lives in Queensland, Australia, with her husband and two young boys.
