I don't know why I keep reading decorating books. The text is always blindingly obvious. If the photos are not to your taste (and this one isn't particularly) there is no point. Nice watercolor illustrations.

About the author

Shannon Fricke is a well-known interior designer, stylist, homewares designer, blogger, author and TV presenter. A regular stylist for respected home magazines here and overseas, she has presented more than sixty episodes of HOME for the Lifestyle Channel and was voted Favourite Female Subscription Television Presenter at the 2005 ASTRA Awards. As well as HOME, Shannon has appeared on Postcardsfrom Home, Houseguests and An Insider's Guide toCollecting. She is the author of two other books, Senseof Style- Colour and Sense of Style- Space, and writes regularly for Inside Out magazine. Shannon lives with her family on their farm between the New South Wales coast and country, where she spends her time cooking, gardening and doing 'farm chores'. She passes on her down-to-earth style of decorating in her regular and well-attended How to Decorate workshops.
