Front Cover
Rosenberg Publishing, 2011 - History - 264 pages
With nine maps and 100 illustrations, this book is a well-researched history on the conflicts that have taken place in Afghanistan and Northwest Pakistan, beginning in 1839. The book puts Afghanistan's conflicts into the broadest perspective, with the inclusion of the numerous wars and conflicts on the Northwest Frontier. Drawing heavily on resources such as unit histories, the book includes information on all such wars in Afghanistan, including the conflicts of various tribes and nations, not just those involving British armies. "Recommended." -- Choice, March 2012 *** "War in Afghanistan is a sobering read." -- NYMAS Review, NYMAS Review, Issue No. 59, Winter 2015 Subject: Military History, Middle East Studies] ? ?
