About the author (2018)

Amanda has always had a passion for stories. Formally a teacher, she now works at the Seventh-day Adventist Church Australian Union Conference in Resource Development. Her writing includes the top selling teenage novels Heaven Sent and Summer Fades, as well as The Hunter Chronicles series she developed in conjunction with Tony Knight. ¿I find that writing is my way to connect with God, as stories are the place we first learn about Him. Through His words, I aim to use my gifts for His glory, and to bring people closer to Him.¿ Jade mainly enjoys working with oil paints and graphite. She researched classical art techniques, and moved on to study in workshops under prominent artists. Her works hang in private collections in Australia, USA, the UK, Scandinavia and Europe. She has also been awarded placings in art shows, her favourite being the People¿s Choice Award in the Adelaide Fringe Festival, as she always considered herself an artist for the people. ¿The talent of art is a gift from God. From the time I picked up a pencil in small, useless hands, to now my ever building proficiency with a paintbrush, I cannot do it without guidance from Him. It is a connection from me in this earthly realm, to Him above us. I hope to show the beauty of His creation around us, and inspire people to look more deeply at their lives and draw their own talents out.¿
