A very interesting read. I learned several new things about Islam. Gary P. Hansen

1. This book should be read by any and all Catholic clergy and laymen interested in Islam. While some of the information provided will call for great tact and sensitivity if shared with Muslim friends and acquaintances, it will readily furnish the needed resources and references required to help both Muslims and non-Muslims come to a clearer understanding of Islam and its growing influence in our world today.

2. ... truly remarkable testimony of God’s grace…engaging and moving...

3. Excellent

4. If you are unfamiliar with Islam and its beliefs, this is an excellent book to have on hand. Christians should know what Muslims think about Christianity and the author has written a book unlike any other that I have read on the subject of Islam. This would also be an excellent book to give to Muslims because it shows quite clearly where they have been misinformed about Christians and in particular Jesus. If you have Muslim friends you want to get this book!

6. The fact that it is autobiographical adds an important dimension that most books on Islam lack.... very special.

7. Elegantly written

Thanks for writing this book Hussein. I am so glad that you have been able to share the reality of your story.
I've just reached the point where you are going to visit Molu. I think you really
did a good job in writing this book. It has so many details, that I can see that it is impossible for those from the Coast to refute, since only someone who had been through all that would know all those details. God really helped you pass through a lot, and it wasn't easy. There was a point in the book also where you mentioned neocolonialism, and I think it was good that you put that in the book. If Westerners are reading it, whether they are conservative or liberal it is good for them to consider the reality of neocolonialism.
As someone who has spent a lot of time in Tana River District, I agree that the Orma people are generally wonderful, loyal and hospitable people, but when it comes to Islam, like many other Muslims around the world, most believe that a Muslim who leaves Islam deserves death. Therefore, I am glad that through your perseverance your family realized their mistake.
There is no way to argue with personal experience, and I thank you again for having the courage to share your story.

The book is autobiographical and tells the story of a Kenyan Sunni Muslim who converted to Christianity. He suffered persecution at school for his Christian faith and his own family tried to kill him. The author was a Madrassa teaching assistant and discusses some of the problems he found in the Qur'an. The author provides references for his quotes and writes in a very matter-of-fact way. I suspect that the reviewers who accuse him of being a liar have not read the book since they provide no examples. The book is fascinating and provides a helpful glimpse into the persecution that so many Christians experience throughout the world.

This book is a must-read for an inside view of Islam and its followers. The author is very knowledgable in both Islam and Christianity and will help you understand both religions in light of each other.
A quick read, and an enlightening read.

The author of this book is a big liar that one can ever meet. The book is full of wrong information. Those out there who want to learn Islam to study or for other reasons should read the Quran. The author of this book is seeking so much attention on facebook just to sell his book.
