One of the most theoretical, ivory tower, poorly written, pieces of hand waving garbage I have ever read. Nothing but block diagrams, no circuits, vast errors, sparse examples and no solutions to problems. There isn't one single legitimate electronic circuit in the ENTIRE text. Forget about Colpitts oscillators, you wont find even a diode envelope detector. Lots of blocks that say "VCO" which means as a text for Electrical Engineers interested in circuit design, this is absolutely worthless. I don't believe the authors actually know anything about communication circuit design. Further the language is stilted and obtuse, not pedagogical. This is a good fireplace book, if you use it for kindling.
