Eight handsome titles instruct children in the do's and don'ts of pet care. These volumes are written on a more advanced level than the First Pets series also described on this page. Each Young Pet Owner's Guide is filled with sound advice, instructive full-color photos, eye-catching sidebar information and safety facts children should keep in mind when caring for a pet.

Here's advice on what to feed a kitten, what to do if a kitten seems to be sick, and how to provide a good home for this favorite among pets.
