Everyone pushed James P. Dandy (God, why did his mother name him Jim?) into going on a winter Elderhostel to the New Jersey coast. The last thing he has on his 7 mind is falling into a relationship. But Jim Dandy finds himself entering into exactly that. The next last thing he had on his mind is finding a dead body with a bonsai in its chest; but again, poor Jim is the one to make this gruesome discovery. To make matters worse, Jim is then placed under suspicion for the murder. All the while, his new girlfriend, Dodee, wants to risk her life in an effort to track down the real killer!

About the author (1998)

Peter Abresch travels extensively with the Elderhostel program, providing much inspiration for his popular mystery series featuring James P. Dandy. This is his fifth story in the series and follows his novella in the DEADLY MORSELS (4/03) anthology. He lives in Maryland.
