About the author (2006)

After receiving his MFA from the Iowa Writer's Workshop, Chris Adrian entered medical school, during which he published his first novel, Gob's Grief, which was excerpted in The New Yorker and The Best American Short Stories. After completing his residency in pediatrics last spring, he enrolled in Harvard Divinity school, where he is currently a student.
