Paul Mooney has 33 years' experience studying and working as a journalist in Asia. He moved to Beijing in 1994, beginning a career of reporting from around the country for leading publications such as Newsweek, Asian Wall Street Journal, The Daily Beast and The South China Morning Post. He lives in Beijing.

Peter Hibbard MBE, historian, heritage consultant, author and travel professional, strives to foster an awareness, understanding and appreciation of Shanghai's unique historical inheritance through his activities. He lives in Shanghai.
