Prophets in Babylon: Jews in the Arab World Contends that antisemitism is a purely European and Christian phenomenon, and that it did not exist in the Arab world before the infiltration of Europeans into the Middle East in the 19th century. Ascribes the abrupt deterioration of Arab-Jewish relations in the 20th century to Zionist activities, especially the Jewish colonization of Palestine, and to Zionist propaganda.
