About the author (2017)

Leigh Blackmore (BCA Writing, Hons, Univ Wollongong) - poet, musician, writer and occultist - lives in the Illawarra NSW and runs his own editorial business, Proof Perfect. Dubbed 'Mr Horror' by the Australian press, and a past President of the Australian Horror Writers Association, he edited for them Midnight Echo Issue 5 (2011). He formerly edited Terror Australis magazine (1987-92) and its subsequent book anthology (1993) and is a four-time Ditmar Award nominee (once for fiction and thrice for criticism). Reviewing his verse collection Spores from Sharnoth & Other Madnesses (P'rea Press, 2008; 3rd reprint 2013; variant/retitled ed Rainfall Books, 2010) Dead Reckonings (for which Leigh reviews regularly) declared him "One of the leading weird poets of our era." Leigh's recent weird poetry has appeared in Cyaegha, Beyond the Cosmic Veil, Songs of the Shattered World: The Broken Hymns of Hastur and Spectral Realms, and fiction in Nightgaunts. Leigh's critical essays have appeared widely. He is currently writing his first novel, and assembling an edition of Robert Bloch's Selected Letters.
