Led by Ayumu's sister-in-law, Kiyotaka's wife and fellow detective, Madoka, the investigation into the murder gives Ayumu a chance to clear his name. But in doing so, he not only uncovers ties to the Blade Children but also more questions than answers about who and what they are.

Eita Mizuno is a Japanese manga artist whose first series, Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning, continues to be a fan favorite and has received both the anime treatment and a spin-off manga series. Mizuno is also the artist for the arc of the mega-popular horror mystery series UMINEKO When They Cry Episode 7: Requiem of the Golden Witch.

Author Kyo Shirodaira has enjoyed a long and illustrious career in manga with popular series like Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning and The Record of a Fallen Vampire.
