About the author (2022)

Having written twenty-three novels (and counting) published by her beloved DAW Books and Hugo-winning editor Sheila E. Gilbert, as well as numerous short stories, and editing several anthologies over the past 25 years, Julie E. Czerneda was inducted in the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame in 2022. Julie's works combine her training and love of biology with a boundless curiosity and optimism. Imaginings, out in September, is Julie's first short story collection, and November sees the release of her standalone science fiction novel To Each This World. Julie is represented by Sara Megibow of KT Literary. www.czerneda.com Roger Czerneda's love of photography began when he worked at his uncle's camera store. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo, Roger worked as an environmental chemist and computer programmer, all the while continuing to develop his photographic and graphic design skills. By 1986, Roger grabbed his camera and computer and began life as a professional, first in film, and now totally digital. With Julie, he did contracts for several non-fiction publishers, including their company, Czerneda Publishing Inc. Roger's made the leap from commercial and industrial photography and design to also express himself as a visual artist, drawn to subjects in the real world that inspire the imagination or tell a story.
