About the author (2011)

JOHN McMURTRIE has been one of the rock world's most highly respected and sought-after photographers of the last decade. His dynamic and vibrant style of photography is regularly seen on the front covers of the metal press and within the music industry. John has been IRON MAIDEN's official photographer since 2006. Bruce Dickinson is the lead singer of Iron Maiden for over 30 years. In addition to being one of the world's most storied and well-respected singers and songwriters, he is an airline captain, aviation entrepreneur, motivational speaker, beer brewer, novelist, radio presenter, and film scriptwriter. He has also competed as a world-class level fencer. His newly released memoir spans many wild adventures touring, as well as the emotional journies of is personal life as a father and cancer survivor.
