About the author (2008)

Kathleen Creighton, a fifth generation native Californian, grew up on a farm. Her heritage includes a long tradition of both writers and oral storytellers, and she is proud to have passed both on to her four children. After a writing career that has earned her numerous awards and a place in the Romance Writers’ Hall of Fame, she took a lengthy break before returning to her first love. Setting her most recent novels in the Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains where she now lives, she thanks her loyal fans for sticking with her all these years.
