All Loves Are Extraordinary is a translation into English of the collection Vse ljubezni so nenavadne, written in the original Slovenian language and published in 2006. The collection won Osti the 2006 Jenko Award, presented by the Slovene Writers' Association for the best book of Slovenian poetry of the last two years. It also won the 2016 Annibale Ruccello International Prize for Poetry for the bilingual edition of the collection published in Italy under the title Tutti gli amori sono straordinari (2016).

About the author (2018)

Josip Osti, a Bosnian-Slovenian poet, storyteller, essayist, literary critic, anthologist, translator, and editor, was born in 1945 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He wrote his first poem at the tender age of fifteen. He has enjoyed a remarkable literary career and has so far published over 30 books of poetry, six books of prose, 27 books of essays, literary criticism, and journalistic texts, and 14 anthologies of Bosnian-Herzegovinian and Slovenian poetry and prose. He has translated over 100 books of Slovenian poetry and prose, as well as 17 plays into Serbo-Croatian and Croatian/Bosnian. His works have appeared in over 70 translations into other languages.
