About the author (2010)

After earning a degree in translation and in international relations from La Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris, Jean-Bernard joined Lonely Planet's French office before becoming a full-time author. He has contributed to numerous travel guides, including Marseilles, Corsica, South Pacific and Martinique, Dominique et Sainte-Lucie. Diving instructor and incorrigible traveler, he will decamp at the slightest opportunity to travel, photograph and dive around the world. After several trips in Tahiti, he now considers French Polynesia a second home.
