About the author (2012)

Lindsay Tanner is special advisor to Lazard Australia and a vice-chancellorÕs fellow and adjunct professor at Victoria University. He is the former minister for finance and deregulation in the RuddÐGillard governments and the author of several books, including Crowded Lives, Open Australia, and Sideshow. Paul Kelly is the editor-at-large of the Australian and the author of six books, including The End of Certainty and Paradise Divided. He is a recipient of the Graham Perkin Journalist of the Year Award and two Walkey Awards.
