About the author (2015)

Farid al-Ansari (1960-2009) is an eminent legal scholar and cleric from Meknes, Morocco. Professor al-Ansari was the President of Islamic Studies at the University of Moulay Ismail, where he taught various courses on the methodology of Islamic jurisprudence and the Objectives of Islamic Law. He authored numerous books including Terminology of Islamic Jurisprudence at Ash-Shatibi and Last of the Cavaliers in his native Arabic.
