About the author (2013)

Jernigan is cofounder of the Marin Institute for the Prevention of Alcohol and Other Drug Problems and a media advocate who works primarily on alcohol policy issues. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley.
