First Edition. Thick Large Octavo. Volume 2 only. 1199 pages. The massive definitive volume on the 9th-16th regimental histories, covering their earliest history to the events of the Civil War. All names are in alphabetical order. Bound by E.D. Chassell (state binder) in 3/4 calf over purple cloth, flat spine, double leather labels in maroon and black lettered in gilt, fading to front and rear boards, corners worn, some wear to calf. A very good copy of this scarce work.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Thick octavos. Vol. I: [1], xxii, 1222 pages. Vol. II: [1], xxiv, 1199 pages. Burgundy leather covered boards with brown leather corners and spines. Volume I binding is in poor condition with detached boards and mangled spine. Occasional light pencil markings to some of the pages. Previous owner inscription in the upper left corner of the front paste down - "Property of Shelby Norman Post #231 G. A. R." Volume II front hinge is completely broken with exposed spine. The front cover is still attached to the rear joint. Leather is rubbed on volume II. Part of the title label on the spine is chipped. Interior contents clean in volume II. Fair volumes only.
