Dariusz Jemielniak is an Assistant Professor of Management and Vice-Director of the PhD program at Kozminski Business School (Poland). 2004-2005 he spent as a Fulbright visiting scholar at Cornell University. He was also a visiting researcher at Harvard University (2007) and at University of California, Berkeley (2008). His main research focuses on workplace relations and occupational culture, especially in knowledge-intensive environment, which he studies by ethnographical and action research methods. He authored over 30 publications in English and in Polish, including a recent volume co-edited with Jerzy Kociatkiewicz on Management Practices in High-Tech Environments (Information Science Reference, 2008). Jerzy Kociatkiewicz,kociak@kociak.org, is a Lecturer in Management at the University of Essex. He holds a PhD in sociology from the Polish Academy of Science. His main research interests include the social construction of high-tech workplaces, organizational space, narrativity, and science fiction He has published his work in journals such as Qualitative Sociology, Human Resource Development International, Knowledge Transfer, and Ephemera.
